Animal Care Hospital provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for domestic rabbits. We have experience treating rabbit diseases and provide spay, neuter and general surgical services. We are also available to help you develop a healthy nutrition plan for your special bunny. We are a listed veterinary practice with the House Rabbit Society (rabbit.org).
Ferrets are very popular pets, but they also have special medical and surgical problems. Our veterinarians have experience in the management and treatment of common ferret diseases, including lymphoma, pancreatic disease, and adrenal gland disease. We are able to care for your ferret if should he or she need surgery or chemotherapy for adrenal disease or lymphoma.
Our veterinarians have experience managing and treating medical conditions and diseases affecting snakes, turtles, and lizards including leopard geckos, bearded dragons, chameleons and iguanas.
We routinely care for “pocket pets” such as guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, rats and mice. We are also able to help you with your sugar glider, chinchilla or hedgehog. Please be aware, however, we are unable to provide services for skunks, raccoons or any wild animals. Should you need medical care for these animals, please contact the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for a referral to a qualified wildlife specialist.
We offer comprehensive care services for your unique pet including:
Unusual pets require a special kind of owner, one that can commit the time necessary to provide the appropriate care.
